DETROIT--Jan. 11, 2012: American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today that it has received the 2011 Polk Automotive Loyalty Award in the category of Hispanic Market Loyalty to Make. This is the second time Honda has captured this prestigious award from Polk, having received the same honor in 2009.
"Honda is thrilled to accept this award from Polk, which demonstrates how strong our products and brand resonate with buyers in the important Hispanic market," said David Hendley, assistant vice president of sales, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "The quality and value of our products continues to generate strong loyalty from consumers."
Polk's Automotive Loyalty Awards are presented to manufacturers that demonstrate an ability to retain owners over repeat buying cycles. Polk, a premier provider of automotive information and marketing soloutions, bases the 2011 awards on an analysis of 5.5 million return-to-market events during the 2011 model year, which ran from Oct. 1, 2010 through Sept. 30, 2011. Loyalty is determined by households that own a new vehicle, and return to market and purchase or lease another new vehicle of the same model or make.
